What wonderful Super Readers we have growing here!
We are continuing to build our super reader powers! Please encourage your child to continue to read books and to practice using these powers:
Pointer Power--He/she will look, point, and read everything he/she can. He/she reads every word said and the pointing has to match the word he/she points to on the page.
Reread power- Go back and read it again.
Partner power - Will help with reading and pointing.
Picture power -Look at the picture to help you decode what the words are.
Snap words (red words)
Sound power- Look at the first letter, say the sound, then say the sound for the next letter, then the next, etc.
Persistence Power- Keep trying, don't give up, use all your powers to help you!
Super Readers keep practicing!
We are also working on recognizing the punctuation at the end of the sentence to help with reading with expression. We are trying to sound like a story teller when we read.
