We are continuing our work with characters. Please remind your child that the characters help us to understand what is happening within the story. We have learned that readers don’t just say what they see on the page. They look carefully at the pictures and use them to remember what the characters were doing, saying, and thinking on that page.
Readers also consider the feelings of the characters. A reader will stop often and think about how characters say and do thing in their books. These give readers clues to figure out how characters feel.
