What AWESOME SUPER READERS we have in Kindergarten! We continued our practice using our SUPER POWERS FOR READING! As we finish this unit, please continue to encourage your child to practice his/her super reader ability by using our Pointing Power to read, our Stretching Power when we see new words we do not know, we have Picture Power by using the pictures to give us clues, and we have Sound Power by listening to for letter sounds. Also, please continue to practice our Red Words also known now as SNAP WORDS. They are called this because the children can now read them in a "SNAP".
On Thursday, your child got to celebrate his/her reading powers by reading to their favorite stuffed animal! What a fun way to end our this unit and reinforce some wonderful reading! We are so proud of the the awesome reading that is happening here at school! We hope they are showing you at home as well.
Continue to encourage your child to use his/her Super Powers while reading. Remind them that each word gets only
1 tap and to try to stretch out any words they do not know yet.
